Restaurants fill up, roses double in price, and there is a quiet assumption that Valentine’s Day only counts if someone else has organised it for you. For us, that feels a little outdated. So this year, we are taking a different approach. Make Valentine’s Day less about coupledom and more about self-care. Think less roses, more relaxing. Less smooching and more spa day!

As busy women, too many of us treat self-care as an optional extra. We generally only think about taking time out if work or family commitments allow, which, of course, they rarely do.
