Omnilux in Nelson – Let there be light!

As we head into Autumn it’s time to think about treating dehydrated skin and improving an uneven skin tone. Luckily, at Woman Beauty Day Spa, we can help you do exactly that, while also improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles (#winwin situation), by using Omnilux LED Light Therapy.

If you’ve never experienced Omnilux before then you’re missing out on one of our most popular anti-ageing treatments. In this article we thought we’d answer some of the questions we get asked most frequently about this treatment:

What does Omnilux do?
This therapy will improve both skin tone and texture, it can help reduce pigmentation changes or scarring from acne and other wounds.
How does it work?
The light technology works because cells within the body contain receptors that absorb light naturally. When these receptors absorb light it kick starts a cellular response. Different wavelengths stimulate different cellular responses. Omnilux has developed Revive^TM (red light) and Plus^TM (white light) for very specific wavelengths and depths at which they penetrate in order to achieve their clinically proven results.
Omnilux Plus^TM is used in conjunction with Omnilux Revive^TM for periorbital wrinkles, wound healing and psoriasis. Or alone for muscular pain. Both Revive^TM and Plus^TM target skin cells within the skin that are responsible for supportive structures including collagen and elastin. It will also help people that have problematic skin types.
Is it painful?
The therapy is safe, pain free and non-invasive. Consequently there is no need for recovery time following your treatment. Once you become accustomed to the red light of the Revive^TM it can be a warm and pleasant experience.
How long does the treatment take?
A single treatment session takes thirty minutes, if you combine it with our Revive Me (Omnilux) Facial, your treatment takes sixty minutes.
How many sessions of Omnilux LED Light Therapy will I need?
This varies from person to person, but as a guide we suggest around 10 treatments, over a period of five weeks.
How soon will I see results?
You may see some results during your course of treatment but optimum results will be seen several weeks after your treatment. The light stimulates the natural processes of rejuvenation and continues to work after the treatment has been carried out.
How long will the results last?
After your initial course of Omnilux you may continue to have top up booster treatments every six weeks or so to maintain a revitalised and refreshed look.
